Just to let everyone know that the Blood Donation Clinic returns to the Community Centre in Ballinamore on Monday 8th June 2009.  Clinic times are 3.00pm to 4.45pm and 7.00pm to 9.30pm.

We were below the 100 donations at the last clinic so we really need to get above this number at the next one or we may loose it to another town.

Thanks to everyone who attended the previous clinics.  Please try to get to this one and if you can get there please bring a friend.

I have just had a visit from Liz and, between chatting and tea, she took some lovely photos of our Valentine chocolates.

Liz has a brilliant blog LizBiz for anyone who every lived in, visited or even wished to live in or visit Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim.

She has a lovely way of writing, she takes fantastic local photos and has a great sense of community. Liz, more importantly has a positiveness that is very lacking from the airwaves and TV these days.

We were getting worried that we weren’t going to get snow.

Woke up this morning and there it was in all its glistening glory.

 

Ballinamore meeting hears progress report on new school

 On Tuesday, January 27, Cannaboe Confectionery Ballinamore presented Maureen Martin, Chairperson of Ballinamore PPS Parents’ Association with a cake, which shows her reading the Leitrim Observer and throwing away her campaign stickers as she won’t need them anymore now that the go-ahead for a new school has been granted. Maureen would like to thank Cannaboe Confectionery for their lovely gesture.
